The attention of the Hon. Sunday Karimi Campaign Organisation has been drawn to a sponsored online write ups targeted at tarnishing the image of our principal.
We viewed the intention of the sponsor as to create disunity among our teaming supporters and to undermine rising profile of our principal who without mincing words, is on the verge of becoming the standard bearer of kogi west senatorial District of APC .
In a press statement signed by Asekotito Gabriel, on behalf of Sunday Karimi Campaign Organisation and made available to Journalists on Wednesday in Lokoja read in part.
” We have known and associated Hon. Karimi with politics of issues and development, we wondered why the sponsor could not come out boldly but chose to hide under pseudo name to attack a man loved by his people.
Our Principal has consistently made politics of development his priority and we are confident that he will emerge victorious at the primaries.
“While we are aware of the sponsor of the mischievous publications which have been condemned in strong terms by the good people of Kogi West, we wondered why the writer would choose to be chasing shadows.
“This of course is the character of a drowning man, because using the picture of our principal by some of the bloggers shows their level of naivity and unprofessionalism” the statement queried.
The statement said with the usage of the picture of our principal is an indication that they would be ready to meet with them in court if they fail to retract their stories within forty eight hours.
While we do not intend to join issues with the faceless sponsor the statement noted , it is important to state that the record of their principal when he served as member representing the good people of Yagba Federal Constituency speaks volumes, with overwhelming clamour for him to contest the senatorial election for Kogi West.
“It is a known fact that Hon. Karimi is bold and fearless and made remarks being referenced by the sponsor of the publications. It is important that even when he did, he spoke on issues of governance and never at any time maligned the person of the Governor Yahaya Bello.
According to Gabriel , ” like we said earlier, the publishers should make available records when our Principal used the language as directed by their sponsors.
He lamented at the group Common Sense Promoters as faceless as they are, and their spokesman, Comrade Yahaya Adamu got it all wrong as Hon.Sunday Karimi never lost the senate primaries in Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
He noted that it was his style of politics of not do or die that he threw in the towel when he accepted the hierarchy of PDP’s directive to step down.
“We will allow posterity to judge the sponsor as we’re all aware that the rejection by the people is already making him to show desperation. And for Hon. Karimi, God gives power and position and we will continue to rely on the good name of our Principal, the good people of Kogi West and the Almighty God to perfect that which concerns him.
” Again ,Let it be made known that having joined the APC, the contribution of Hon. Karimi to the development of the party in the State and Kogi West remains unrivalled. His interventions on roads, water and health care needs of the people are in the public domain
“We ‘re more concerned about the goal and would not throw punches at detractors as the sponsor of the writers would want the gullible to believe but the people of Kogi West remain the priority of Hon. Sunday Karimi in changing the narratives of representation.
