Breaking; HYPPADEC Member abducted, Three killed in Kogi.
Gunmen believed to be kidnappers have abducted a board member of Hydroelectric Power Producing Areas Development Commission, (HYPPADEC), Alhaji Isah Ozi Salami at the early hours of Thursday while on his way to a mosque in Ogaminana , headquarters of Adavi LGA , KogI state
The source added that the kidnapper’s came with a vehicle parked along the victim’s residence and zoom off with the old man around 5am.
This is as two persons were killed while one managed to escape .
The men were traveling in a car along Federal College of Education road in Otite , Okehi LGA of kogi state.
An eyewitness named Ilyas Okaraga who reportedly witnessed the abduction disclosed to our reporter that another person was also shot by the gunmen.
A source to the family said in an attempt to save him from the gunmen , as another young man was also shot but was rushed to the hospital for treatment.
According to the source, Ozi Salami had earlier on Wednesday, commissioned a water project in Adavi local government before he was kidnapped on Thursday morning.
One of the occupants reportedly escaped by the whiskers, while two others were killed by the gunmen.
Meanwhile, Kogi State Police Command Public Relations Officer, SP William Aya confirmed the story .
Aya said one person was killed during the incident stressing that the state Commissioner of Police has drafted security men for rescued operation.
