APC Governatorial Candidate promises to Exceed UN Affirmative action of 35 percent Women appointment if elected in Niger state.

The  Niger state gubernortorial Candidate of  All Progressives Congress APC Hon. Umar Mohammed Bago, has assured that his administration if elected in the coming 2023 general election would exceed the United Nations affirmative action of 35 per cent women appointments into his cabinet.

Hon.Umar Bago, gave this assurance in Minna at  Bago/Yakubu Youth Summit Minna, adding that his administration  would be gender sensitive,as women would be given political appointment equal as Men counterperts.

“My administration,if elected shall give considerable number of women the opportunity to represent the womenfolk in the system.

He stated that the United Nations affirmative action for women emphasizes on about 35 percent,”i will exceed that during my administration as the Governor of Niger State”.

He further mentioned that women have untapped potentials to make a difference in the state,” there are many women in the state doing excellently well in their different fields, hence need for them to be given opportunity to showcase their potentiality”.
