A network of groups identified as friends and well wishers of Alh Jibril Momoh, the Accountant General of Kogi State have purchased the APC Gubernatorial interest and nomination form for Jibril Momoh to contest the state Governorship election.
The Kogi APC primary have been scheduled to hold on the 10th of April while the election proper November 11th 2023.
The group which stormed into the APC National Secretariat Abuja in their numerous number caused a jam within the premises and environs for commuters and passerby.
The group headed by Hon. Ebije Paul who was a former commissioner to Governor Yahaya Bello; speaking to men of the press at the APC media centre after the form purchase, said what the group has done today is historic and making a foundation for a new era under a renewed vision for kogi state and its citizens.
In his words; Ebije said I thank God for this opportunity to address you as the spokesperson of this formidable group that cut across the entire senatorial districts of kogi state and I thank specially our leader and the architect of modern Kogi State; His Excellency Alh Yahaya Bello the executive governor of kogi state who have offered us a worthwhile leadership with massive legacies of developmental strides that have today positioned kogi to be a fast developing state among other states with several commendation across boards of viable international organizations and establishments.
Hon Paul said Governor Bello has in the past seven years been grooming leaders of note which rightly is a fundamental duty of any leader to reproduce other leaders as expected. But while many was groomed, our Man Jibril Momoh distinguished himself by imbibing the ideals of quality leadership and selflessness and gave himself to humanitarian services among commendable virtues for quality character standards and best public office holder’s practice.
Jibril stand against maladministration, corruption and cheating has attracted many to love him and provoke massive follower to him. Most fascinating is his passion and love for human and society development, good governance and quality service delivery. For you to see us agog like this in our magnitude numbers to contribute our hard earned money to pick up this form for this man simply tells the volume of our sheered love and desire for a passionate, upright, humble and highly cerebral man like him to Succeed Governor Yahaya Bello to further build upon and stabilize our dear state.
The Honourable added that this is a new era as against the perceived sectional or tribal politicians argument of some sort of rotation or biased sentiments; we have at this time aligned with competence, progress and capability and in Jibril Momoh we have found our worthy next Governor of Kogi State by Gods grace.
We shall work, campaign and canvass throughout the nooks and crannies of the state to ensure we don’t miss this wonderful man who has all and withal to consolidate the existing progress achieved thus far to to pilot us to the progress heights we desire.
