The Auditor General of kogi State and a stalwart of the governing All Progressives Congress from Dekina local government area, Alh. Yakubu Yuduf Okala on tuesday picked the governorship intent and nomination forms to contest for the April ten party’s governorship primary.
Fielding questions from Journalists shortly after he purchased the intent and nomination forms at the national secretariat of the All Progressives Congress Abuja on Tuesday.
Okala who bought the forms through his representative and a member representing Bassa constituency at the state house of assembly,hon.Rani Daniyan disclosed that he joined the race to enable him consolidate on the gargantuan and exceptional leadership provided by his boss and the first citizen of kogi State,Alh.Yahaya Bello
The highly elated governorship hopeful hinted that Governor Yahaya Bello has given progressive and purposeful leadership to the state which has rekindled hope and opportunities to the residents by his humongous investments in security, human and infrastructural development that are visible for all eyes to observe.
Alhaji Yakubu Okala noted that the overriding essence of showing interest in the race is to keep the flag of the good performance of the governor flying as Governor.
He identified the governor’s invaluable inroad in fast-tracking transparency, accountability, and probity in the management of the state resources that has made the state and her citizens to witness good governance and promised to sustain the momentum of progress and achievements if given the chance.
Okala tasked the All Progressives Congress delegates and stakeholders and the generality of the citizens to embrace and mobilise support for his political aspiration to enable him add more value to the new direction policy of governor Yahaya Bello.
Presenting the intent and nomination forms to Okala representative and a member representing Bassa constituency at the Kogi state house of house,Hon Rani the national Organising secretary of the party,Doctor Ahmed Wambai Suleiman said APC is rooted in the state.
The national Organising secretary of party tasked Alh. Yakubu Yusuf Okala to bring to bear his vast human knowledge to ensure the party and all candidates record successes in all the elections in kogi State.
Hundreds of party ardent supporters ,well wishers , admirers as well as elected assembly members , political appointees , and Dekina and Bassa party Executives who besieged the Secretariat in Abuja to welcome Yakubu Okala into the race.
