The Kogi state Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Ahmad Ahmad Gandi has inspected the Okehi Local Government Secretariat, the scene of the explosive blast to see the first hand extent of the damage and to map strategy to expose those involved.
He said he has to deploy the special Chemical, biological , Radiological and Nuclear Explosive Unit of the corps to unravel remote and probable lead toward arresting the culprits.
The Commandant who was received by the chairman of Okehi Local Government Council, Abdulraheem Ohiare, said he was in the LG to see the extent of the damage and to forestall future happenings.
He reiterated the resolve of the corps to protect its core mandates of securing National Critical Assets, Disaster Management, Solid minerals and Agro Rangers and Safe School Initiative with the view to provide all round security for the nation.
He further assured the people of adequate security of lives and property during and after the general elections, while calling on the people to report to the nearest security agencies activities of the men of the underworld.
In a remark, the Monarch commended the Commandant and his officers for their tireless effort to rid the state of undesirable elements and assured of robust relationship with the corps.
