Christmas/ New year: NSCDC places 1,850 personnel on red alert in Kogi

Kogi State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has deployed more than 1,850 personnel to guarantee a seamless and secure yuletide celebration in the State.
In a statement signed by Abdullahi Aliyu , the command Public Relations officer and made available to newsmen on Wednesday in Lokoja stated that the commandant, Esther Akinlade, has carefully chosen officers from various units, encompassing the Operations department, Special Rapid response,Agro rangers, Female squad Intelligence, and Critical National Assets Infrastructure departments.
She emphasized that NSCDC in conjunction with sister security agencies, is dedicated to ensure a crime-free environment through out the yuletide taking cognizance of kogi State bordering nine States including FCT.
Commandant Akinlade advised youths to abstain from any form of social misconduct or unlawful activities that could breach law and order as any one caught will face the full wrath of the law.
She urged the public to observe the celebrations with moderation and to divulge credible information concerning any form of criminal activities and criminal hideouts to the relevant authority.
