The Deputy Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Comrade Joel Salifu, has praised his personal security officer and the grand commander of his escorts, ASP Douglas Yakubu, and other officers working with him for doing their job well and keeping him and his family safe.
He spoke on Tuesday during a short decoration ceremony held in his office in Lokoja. The Deputy Governor said he is happy with the officers’ dedication and prayed for their continued success in their careers.
Comrade Joel Salifu also thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for his efforts in tackling insecurity across the country. He said Kogi State is benefiting from these efforts in improving security. He also appreciated the Inspector General of Police, Mr. Tuji Rilwan Disu, psc, for ensuring timely promotion of officers.
During the ceremony, ASP Douglas Yakubu was officially decorated by the Deputy Governor, with support from Operative Sani Ado of the State Intelligence Department (SID). The event was attended by Inspector Ademu Yisa, Operative Bolorunduro Omotosho, and some staff of the Deputy Governor.
In his response, ASP Douglas Yakubu thanked the Inspector General of Police for the promotion and appreciated the Deputy Governor for treating the officers well. He promised to remain loyal and carry out his duties professionally.
