Kogi 2027 : Lokoja APC passes Vote of No confidence on Senator Sunday Karimi:
The Executive Council members of All Progressive Congress APC , Lokoja Local Government Area chapter has passed Vote of No Confidence on the senator, representing Kogi West Senatorial zone, Sunday Karimi.
In a Press Conference held on Thursday in Lokoja, the Executive Members of the Council, noted that it has become imperative for her to take this drastic measure against the senator for his divisive and polarisation of the party in the kogi west senatorial district of the state
The APC Chairman of Lokoja Local Government Area , Hon . Jibrin Idris, noted that following a comprehensive assessment and in line with the unanimous decision of the Lokoja LGA Executive, hereby pass a vote of no-confidence on Senator Sunday Steve Karimi, representing Kogi West at the National Assembly.
He said the decision was taken because Senator Karimi has, in their view, fallen short in several key areas both within his constituency and the party.
According to him, Senator Karimi specifically failed to acknowledge and work with the party leadership that brought him to power at both the state and local government levels.
*He has failed to promote discipline, unity, and the principles of responsible representation.
“He has not demonstrated commitment to the promises he made to the people of Kogi West.
“He has not upheld the core values of party leadership, democracy, and the institutional foundations necessary for its survival.” He stated.
Hon. Idris further stated that Lokoja Local Government has lost confidence in him and does not support his aspiration or continuity in office beyond 2027.

He enjoined the Excos and general members of APC in the Ten wards of Lokoja LGA to remain peaceful, law-abiding, and steadfast in their commitment to the party.
