NSCDC Kogi Commandant, CD Aletan refurbishes  Hqtrs Complex, provides medical outreach to communities.

The Kogi state Command of the Nigeria Civil Defence Corps NSCDC, CD Olumide Ebenezer Aletan has disclosed that his aim of remodelling  the headquarters complex is  to ensure conducive working environment for personnel.
This is just as the Chairperson of the NSCDC Officers wife’s Association Engr. Titilade Aletan, the wife of the Commandant , embarked on medical outreach to Adankolo community in Lokoja Local Government of the state capital.
The Commandant made the disclosure when he commissioned the reconstructed  Sentry, quarter guard and general Area of the headquarters complex held on Tuesday in Lokoja.
CD Aletan noted that as a tradition within the military and paramilitary Agencies, the front view , the sentry and  Quarter- Guard serves as image making of the services , hence , his commitment to provide a conducive complex for the good working condition for the officers and men of the command.
He said, in line with the thematic focus of the Commandant General of Corps, Prof. Abdullahi Audi to ensure proper working environment for the personnel,and building their morales ,he decided to engage friends of the Command and, Government for assistance for the remodelling of the command complex
He noted that with the commissioning of the Complex today, the Command is announcing to the public that it is committed to the safeguard of national critical infrastructure, while collaborating with other security Agencies.
He pointed out that the Corps is working to ensure that no criminal escape justice in the state, stressing that the command is in syn with Governor Ododo ‘s maxim of ” he will not sleep until all Kogites are peaceful asleep.
CD Aletan, added that the command has involved alternative conflict resolution ACR. Mechanism to resolve herder- farmers conflicts that has drastically reduced the conflict making kogi one of the peaceful states in the country.
He added that the prompt response of the corps to distress calls ensured the swift rescue of the 17 pupils,of an orphanage in Zariagi area of Lokoja and assured that the ongoing effort by joint security services would bring back the children to their families.
He commended the partners especially Femi Akande of Treasure eatery for his magnanimity in supporting the project and the  state government for their active support for the upgrade of the complex and assured that the Corps will leave no stone unturned to ensure every kogite sleeps with his or her eyes  closed.
While performing the commissioning exercise, Governor Usman Ododo commended the Corps for the provision of Facelifts to the headquarters complex.
Governor Ododo who was represented by the commissioner for agriculture, Timothy Ojoma described the Commandant, Olumide Aletan as a man who came, saw and conquered ” while expecting the personnel to use the edifice to add value to the effort of the Commandant.
He said, the facelift is the testament to the vision and initiative of the Commandant to add value to the welfare and wellbeing of officers and men stressing that he has shown that with determination that with a will nothing is achievable.
According to him”  first of all I must commend the Commandant Aletan who has done much for the command. The Governor is a man who is keen on issues that will improve the security of lives and property of the citizenry.. However, those in the security agencies need to work in a conducive environment to be able to give their best. Nscdc has been wonderful in providing security for our people, as they are the closest to the people among the other security Agencies. I commend them for their contributions which is not limited to the state capital but even to the bush through Agro Rangers whose effort stemmed the escalation of herders and farmers conflicts.’ He said.
Earlier , the wife of the Commandant , Engr. Titilade Aletan through her maiden NSCDC officers wives Association has provided medical care to the people of Adankolo community in Lokoja and its environment.
The Chairperson noted that the medical outreach is not just the beginning of the program but a project rooted in service and community development.
She said, the Association is committed to the protection of lives and property and also to assist in the wellness and wellbeing of the personnel and their host communities.
She added that the outreach is a shared commitment to giving back to the society, amidst the challenges of healthcare delivery to the people.
She pointed out that this initiative, her Association aimed to bridge that gap byx bringing essential medical services close  to the people and those who needs the services urgently.
The Chairperson hinted that the success of the outreach is a testament to the power of Unity and collective responsibilities to ensure that the people benefits from the health services provided by her association.
” We can achieve more when we come together with shared vision to improve lives for healthy living and extend hands to the vulnerable.
” To the beneficiaries of this outreach, we encourage you to make full advantage of this services provided. Health is your great asset and we are here to support and safeguarding your health. It is my hope that this initiative will not meet immediate needs , but also inspire ongoing effort towards healthier and stronger kogi state.” She stated.
While thanking service providers and other spirited kigites, such as , Ministry of health, Rehoboth Hospital, Sifax hospital, Julie pharmaceutical and Dr. Iduh of Rock and gardens clinic , and commended the Corps for ensuring the success of the outreach.
In a remark, the chairman, Treasure Bakery, Lokoja, Dr. Femi Akande noted that ,since assumption of office by Commandant Aletan, the kogi has had relative peace and security.
While describing the Commandant as a wonderful, humble and a man loved by his people, noted that when the request to reconstruct the complex came , he has no excuse not to accept the offer .
He pointed out that his contact with the Commandant was divine as he was introduced to him  by his primary school mate who incidentally was a secondary school mate to the Commandant, adding that he has been in love with everything security.
He commended the Commandant Aletan for his uprightness as when the money came for the execution of the project , he decided to bring me in, the project that he  would have done it personally to make the whole money.
Highlights of the occasion was the presentation of award to deserving retiring officers as the heads of other security Agencies, such as the Army, Navy, Police, NDLEA, Immigration, customs, Nigeria Vigilante Services were on hand to add value to the occasion.
