Members of the African Democratic Congress ADC in Kogi State have been enjoined to begin immediate mobilization of supporters across the state towards next year’s general elections.
The Chairman Kogi State chapter of the Party Hon Tom Zakari gave the charge in Lokoja at the Stakeholders meeting of the party
Honorable Tom noted that though campaign has not commenced, there is a need to begin to move from door to door to explain the manifesto of the party to their teeming supporters across the state.
He said the ADC is the party of the people and advised members to always remain peaceful and disciplined and that their mobilization should be issue – based
Honorable Tom who congratulated all candidates of the party who emerged during the last primaries of the party charged them to take their message directly to the people noting that they should enter every street, every market, every Community, listen to them and tell them what ADC stand for
He also charged all members of the party, winners as well as the Stakeholders to close ranks,put the interest of the party and people of Kogi State above personal ambition adding that the real election is ahead of them and so must go into it as one United family
Also speaking the ADC North Central Zonal Chairman, Senator Tunde Ogbeha appealed to all Aspirants who lost out during the primaries to place the interest of the party above personal ambition stressing that other opportunities will come to them in future
Senator Tunde Ogbeha is also the National Vice Chairman of the party commended the state chairman of the party Honorable Tom Zakari for setting up a Reconcilation Committee to resolve all issues that emanated from the last primaries and advised all candidates not to sell their mandate as they were given the trust to contest the coming elections to represent their.
