The newly appointed local Government coordinators of Accord Party in Kogi state have assured the Party of their unwavering commitment to galvanize grassroots participation for the actualisation of the aspirations of presidential Candidate, Olawepo -Hashim and House of Representatives candidate, for Idah , Ibaji, Ofu and Igalamela-Odolu constituency, Hon. David Zacharia for the forthcoming general elections.
This is just as the forum of LG coordinators have also made commitment to use their extensive grassroot connections to making Accord Party in kogi state a party of first choice across the state.
The chairman and spokesperson of the forum, Agubason Julius made the disclosure on Wednesday in Lokoja while outlining the activities of the group for the success of the party in the state.
Agubason , who said, first and foremost, the forum wishes to sincerely commend and congratulate the leadership of Accord Party for their courage, and commitment to the political transformation and development of our great nation which formed the basis for the appointment.
He congratulated Hon. Olawepo -Hashim for his emergence as the Presidential Candidate of the Accord Party which represents an opportunity to inspire Nigerians with a renewed vision of purposeful leadership, good governance, economic development, and national unity.
According to him ” we are particularly encouraged by your determination to provide credible leadership and contribute meaningfully to the advancement of Nigeria. Your courage to offer yourself for national service is worthy of commendation.
” We wish to assure you of our steadfast commitment to supporting the ideals, objectives, and aspirations of the Accord Party. We remained prepared to contribute our time, energy, experience, and goodwill towards the success of the mandate.
” We are confident that with dedication, teamwork, discipline, and a clear sense of purpose, we can collectively build a stronger political movement capable of responding to the aspirations of Nigerians. Agubason declared that with the experience and wide connections to the people at the grassroots who are actually the active voters, the choice of the coordinators was a right peg in a right hole, capable of translating the dreams of the party into success in the forthcoming general elections.
He noted that although the Accord Party is relatively new in the state, joint efforts of all the stakeholders, the party is inching towards becoming a households name in the state.
He added that the pedigree of Hon David Zacharia in connecting with constituents in providing dividends of Democracy has made the job easier for his reelection for season three in the Green Chamber of the National Assembly.
He pledged the commitment of the forum to achieve success in their assignment, saying, the caliber of the coordinators would serve as kernel in raising the consciousness of the electorate to embark on aggressive mobilisation for the party and her candidates at all levels
He called on Nigerians to shun politics of ethnicity, religious bias and cleaverages to old order to politics of competency, Character , compassion and credibility which is the only option to move the Nation forward
He charged Nigerians and indeed kogi state electorate to obtain their permanent Voter cards PVC, which, he said, is the only guarantee to elect candidates of their choice while urging the people to come out enmass to vote for Accord Party in all the elections.
