Omale emerges chairman, Unijos Alumni Kogi state chapter.
Pharmacist Samuel Omale has emerged the new Chairman of University of Jos Alumni Association, kogi state chapter.
The chairman and other officers were elected unopposed in the election held on Saturday, at the NUJ conference room in Lokoja.
Those elected alongside the chairman, include,Matthew Sunday, Vice Chairman, Segun Medupin, General Secretary, Mrs Kowantan Moturayo, Treasurer, Salifu Moses, Financial Secretary, Anthony Awuya, Auditor, Adejoh Attah, Assistant Secretary, Bayo Akingbade, Welfare Director, Nuffi Tekaron, Public Relations Officer and Christine Onono, Deputy Public Relations Officers.
The officials are to hold office for a period of two years.
In his acceptance Speech, Pharm. Samuel Omale, promised inclusive administration that would give members sense of belonging and boost their unity as one family.
According to him “Our leadership will be a purposeful one capable of moving the union forward. We will also embark on programmes that would boost the welfare of members and impact on their living standard”
Dr. Jimmy Idama, immediate past chairman of the association, in his welcome address, urged the incoming leadership to ensure of more achievements and innovative ideas that would enable the association to grow with ease.
“Endeavour to serve with sense of belonging and humility as well as making sacrifices that would benefit members at all times” Idama admonished.
