kogi HoR aspirant, Hon. Suberu John PHD promises Socio-  Economic Emancipation, declares  intention for Okehi Adavi Fed. Constituency.

As the race to 2027 general elections build up across the country, a foremost politician, Suberu Yusufu John has vowed to emancipate his people from multidimensional poverty facing them, if given their votes in the forthcoming elections.

Hon. Suberu John made the disclosure on Wednesday at the Ege, Uruvochinomi ward in Adavi LGA during his declaration of interest for the House of Representatives, representing Okehi and Adavi federal constituency in kogi central zone.

Hon Suberu John who is the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Usman Ahmed Ododo on Road Safety matters noted that his aspiration  is borne out of the cries   of his people who have been living with poverty and deprivations for ages.

He said, his people have been considered only good for voting , but not good enough to benefit from the dividend of democracy, stressing that his entry is to bridge the gap and restore their confidence in government.

He said , the situation of his people was so bad  that whenever he sees   young graduates without jobs, families without square meals, faces of young girls and boys returning from schools without sandals and widows in the Communities struggling to fend for her children without hope, has remained indelible in his mind pondering how to change the narrative.

He noted that on the basis of his people wandering in the wilderness without helps  was a motivation for his decision to vie for the position as a means to transform the people.

He decried  his constituency which is blessed with hardworking, and talented  men and women but have been treated shabbily as if their pains does not matters only seeking for their votes at every election  circle .

He added that despite the contributions of his people to the growth and development of the state, but have been consistently rewarded with bad roads, dilapidated schools and lack of social amenities in the area.

He commended Governor Ododo for his  appointment and the award of ongoing road construction in the area , urging the people to continue to support the government and his reelection come 2027.

He equally appreciated the leaders and stakeholders of the APC in area for their unwavering support and commitment to growth of the constituency and appealed to them to give maximum support to his aspiration which is intended to emancipate and repositioned the people

He promised to remain accessible after election,as he understood their pains while vowing to be  compassionate, committed and accountable to the people.

He assured that if elected, he will ensure peace and security of the people, guarantee mass employment for the youths and conscious efforts that farmers would get their fair share from the administration

While commending Gov. Ododo and the Chairman of APC, Auditor General of LG, Adabenege Siyaka for their tireless efforts to bring overall development to Adavi and Okehi LGAs , appealed to electorates to vote massively for the candidates of APC in the 2027 general elections.

Earlier , the Special Adviser to the Governor on Electronic media, Hon. Adebayo Ohiare noted that  today empowerment program is a practical demonstration of aspirant ‘s belief that leadership is about uplifting people, creating opportunities, and putting smiles on faces which reflects his readiness not just to promise, but to act.

He said the task ahead requires unity, cooperation, and collective resolve, as the aspiration of Hon Suberu John is not a journey for one man  but for all  who desire progress, equity, and a better future for the constituency.

According to him, “As we officially declare his candidature today, let us also declare our support, our commitment, and our determination to work together to achieve victory at the polls and, more importantly, meaningful representation thereafter” he charged the people

Highlights of the occasion was the presentation of scholarship award to 40 students, distribution of food items to 1500 households, cash award to hundred individuals and distribution of cell phones to youths, to connect them to the world.
