* Appeal to Government for more investment into KSCSDA
The General Manager of Kogi state Community and Social Development Agency, KGCSDA Chief Dauda Momoh has bagged the Ade- Bada Iinternational Foundation distinguish Service Award for his commitment to ease the burdens of rural communities and the vulnerable.
The award which was in recognition of the humanitarian works executed by the KGCSDA across kogi state was presented by the Management of the foundation on Tuesday inside his palatial office in Lokoja.
Speaking after he received the award, the GM. noted that the award has become the most important award he had received in recent times coming from a man who dared his challenges to create impact on the lives of the people.
He said, the foundation whose objectives tallies with the mandate of the agency is to spur him to do more and to impact on the lives and welfare of the vulnerable and people at the grassroot.
He said , although, the promoter of the foundation has a challenge of visual impairment, he did not allow his challenge to affect him , rather , he brought out the ability in his disability to create a new meaning for those who are and will be in his circumstance.
He added that , the award amazes him so much, as it was coming from a man not seeing in the physical, but hears echoes of the work the agency has been doing for the less endowed and rural communities who have hitherto resigned to fate.
He promised to continue to lend support for the Foundation in order to achieve it’s core mandate , hinting that KGCSDA has been in the vanguard of turning threats into opportunity for the people.
He commended the doggedness, resilience and dedication to replace challenges with productivity which has lasting legacy on the people who ordinarily would have resigned to self pity.
He urged him not to relent on his oars but to continue to inspire his world with the vision and mission of the foundation, saying, posterity will remember him for good.
While commending Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for his unflinching investment to the Agency to making it to efficiently perform her activities, urge him to adopt it for the important roles it plays in the life of rural citizenry and the vulnerable,
While presenting the award, the founder of Ade- Bada Foundation, Adeniyi Bada acknowledged the activities of the Agency which has sustainably imprinted on the lives of the people.
Adebada noted that as a foundation,they looked at those who have appreciable impact on humanity and through a thorough background checks on the Agency decided to bestow on him this distinguish personality award
He added that the foundation believed in the welfare of the people, thus the government responsibility to make life better for the people, saying those in charge of organization implementing the vision of the government should be recognized..
He stressed that he has put aside his condition which degenerated in the middle of life and has to challenge his inner man for the conversion of what people called challenge to a more purposeful and purposive engagement which is speaking in volumes for the good of the society.
He thank the GM. Chief Dauda Momoh for his partnership with the foundation and charge other Organizations that value humanity to partner with his foundations to change the ugly narrative of the people.
In a remark, the publisher of Nigeriapost, Pastor Mike Abuh, explained that when a good man occupy a position, the people rejoice, saying the good works of the Agency speak volumes to the four corners of the state
Reminiscing the early life of Ade- Bada , he disclosed that he came home from his vantage position of being the founding members of Diet Newspapers, Bureau chief of Vanguard to pioneer Community Newspaper in Lokoja, the medium he used effectively to contribute his quota to the development of the state.
He said, despite the misfortune, he never allow it to weigh him down, rather he took the gauntlet by establishing the foundation, a Church Ministry and writing books that have shaped thousands of lives
He expressed delight for the Management of KGCSDA for their commitment to changing lives and urge other government institutions to do their part for the best of the society.
