Police rescued kidnapped varsity don 3 others in kogi.
Kogi state police command said it has rescued one professor John Alabi and three others abducted within two weeks in some parts of the state
.
Professor John Alabi who is the Dean, school of Management sciences, kogi state University, Anyigba regained his freedom after spending six days with the kidnappers.
In a press release signed by the command spokesperson Dsp William Aya and made available to Treasuretimes confirmed the release of the processor.
Aya said, three other persons , one chief Idoko Emmanuel and one Paul Onoja, both ‘m’ of Emonoja village, and one Miss Blessing Akoh ‘f’, who was shot on her leg at Enugu Ezike road of Emonoja village were also rescued.
He said , the Police operatives attached to Olamaboro Division led by the DPO immediately swung into action mobilized his men and with the assistance of local vigilante pursued hoodlums into the bush and at about 0600hrs of yesterday , they abandoned their captives and fled.
He added that the Victims were rescued unhurt, while the injured victim is currently on admission and efforts still on going to arrest culprits.
According to him, the Commissioner of Police, CP Idrisu Dauda Dabban psc (+), fdc calls on members of the public to continue to partner with the security agencies in the ongoing onslaught against criminal elements in the State.
