* Bags Distinguish Woman Personality of the Year Award.
The Kogi state Coordinator, Nigeria Erosion and Watershed Management Project (NEWMAP), Barr. Ladi Ahmed Jatto has reiterated the agencies commitment to ensuring quality and adherence to standard in projects execution in the state.
Barr. LadJatto, gave the assurances on Wednesday in Lokoja as she emerged the Most Distinguish Woman Personality of the Year in Kogi State.
The Coordinator stressed that no effort would be compromised in making sure that erosion and the environment are safe for the people
The Most Distinguished Woman Personality of the Year in Kogi State award was in recognition of her commitment and dedication to God and humanity, was presented to her by the Stewardship Global News Limited.
Barr. Ladi emerged top to win the Stewardship Global News Limited award for 2021 from amongst Women Chief Executives, Political Appointees, Heads of MDAs in Kogi State.
She described the recognition done to her as the efforts of Gov. Yahaya Bello towards making life more meaningful and habitable for the people.
The Project Coordinator lauded the zeal and passion of Gov. Bello in making the environment safe for the citizenry, stressing that the agency’s milestone as noticed by Nigerians is the deliberate and passionate love the Governor has for the state.
While restating her agency’s commitment to remain unwavering in the discharge of her duties, assured the state nothing will change the Agency from upholding the GYB standard in project execution, through transparency and value for money.
She added that the agency through the support of the State Government in the payment of her counterpart funds, working in partnership with the World Bank, have made interventions in several towns and communities towards controlling erosion and in land reclamation.
She disclosed that the agency has equally intervened in the provision of electricity, weather stations amongst other several other positive impacts in communities across the State, even as she dedicated the award to Gov. Bello for his relentless support for the NEWMAP.
