Ustaz Abubakar Zakari Ola, a foremost senatorial aspirant in the last All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial primary election in Kogi West, has mourned the death of former Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris, describing his passing as a significant loss to the state.
Ola said Idris’ years in public service had left an enduring mark on the political and developmental history of Kogi State.
In a condolence message, he described the former governor as a prominent figure whose contributions to the state would continue to be remembered.
He commiserated with the Idris family, political associates and the people of Kogi State, urging them to draw strength from the former governor’s years of service.
Ola prayed Allah to forgive Idris’ shortcomings and grant him Al-Jannatul Firdaus, while giving his family the fortitude to bear the loss.
