Forum Of People Living With Disability In Kogi. Honors Former Kogi Governor, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris
Forum of People living with disability in Kogi state has confered on former Kogi Governor, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris as the “Most Compassionate Personalty” of the year award.
The award was presented to the former Kogi Governor in his residence at Asokoro in Abuja jointly led by the Chairman,Kogi state people living with disability,Mr Solomon Yahaya and Idris Abubakar.
They prayed for more years to the former Govenor in good health and prosperity ,stating that his numerous life touching activities shall be rewarded by Almighty God.
The forum thanked the former Kogi Govenor for his consistent and untiring humanitarian services,saying his efforts had sustained them at this difficult time
Reacting to the award,the former Kogi Governor, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris in an emotion laden voice expressed gratitude for this singular honor,saying he felt their pains whenever they travelled far out of Lokoja to see him in Abuja.
“I would have preferred you invite me to come down to Lokoja for the honor,rather than the inconveniences of coming down to Abuja considering your situation.”
“All the same,I sincerely appreciate your honor and words of encouragement towards human emancipation,and prayed that God will continue to give us the ability to continue to sustain not only the physically challenged,but the less privileged and the entire society at large.”
He wished them the safest journey back to their various destinations.
