Police strike; kogi CP organises lectures for Senior officers.

The Commissioner of Police Kogi State Police Command, CP Edward C. Egbuka (+) today 24/3/2022 has Conference with Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers, Heads of Department, Sectional Heads.
He warned Area Commanders, HODs, Dpos to ensure that the lecture is cascaded down to personnel under them.
He also directed that their personnel particularly the Inspectors and rank & file should be assured that the IGP is committed to their welfare and wellbeing.
The Cp highlighted efforts made by IGP Alkali Baba Usman (psc+) NPM fdc to provide conducive working environment for the personnel. They include:
i Increment in salaries and allowances with effect from Jan 2022
ii Stoppage of tax deductions for inspectors and rank & file effective from Jan 2022
iii Issuance of uniforms, kits and accoutrements to Inspectors and rank & file.
iv Review of the NPF housing policy to provide affordable housing units for Police officers especially the junior ranks.
v Issuance of body armour to all Inspectors and rank & file.
vi Approval of prompt payment of allowances for personnel on Special duty
vii Distribution of operation trucks and buffalo trucks from Police Trust Fund etc.
The Cp directed that all personnel in the state command be reminded that any form of strike or protest by police personnel is tantamount to mutiny, and defaulters will be severely punished.
