Yagba West: APC Youth Coalition Fingers Former Kogi Commissioner For Causing Crisis.
The Yagba West APC Youth Coalition led by Hon. Wale Ajayi has accused Barr. Sanya Suru, former Kogi State Commissioner of being a distabilising factor in the Local Government.
The Coalition fingered Barr. Suru as known for causing disunity in the politics and general administration of the local government.
The Coalition in a statement issued to Newsmen, accused him of contributing to the division between area Council and Town for personal gains.
The Coalition said the petition letter against one of the House of Assembly Aspirant purportedly written by some Yagba West APC Ward Chairmen and Secretaries to the National Chairman of APC boycotting the State Executives was masterminded and written by him while some signature’s of the Chairmen and Secretaries were alledged to have been forged.
The group said Barr. Suru was amongst the group from Kogi State that recently held a meeting with Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu Presidential Campaign Council, described him as more of an ADC person than APC.
The Coalition described him as a wolf in sheep clothing in the politics of Yagba West, cautioned him against causing division in the APC.
The Coalition therefore called for his immediate expulsion before causing further damages to the party ahead of the 2023 general election pointing out that he is part of the Hon. Elder Leke Abejide campaign organization.
But in a swift reaction, Barr. Suru denied all the allegations raised by the Coalition, described it as false.
He however said the petition written to the National Chairman of the APC was a product of the stakeholders decision, with the Chairmen and Secretaries appending their signature’s.
He backed up his argument with a letter received by the State APC Chairman to the effect that the statement was acknowledged in the Chairman’s office, said the stakeholders decision followed the governor’s stand that he has no anointed candidate, consequently, they stakeholders and those who signed wanted a level playing field for all contestants.
The former Commissioner denied engaging in anti party activities, said he is a bonafide member of the APC and is working assiduously to help build the APC in the state.
