As the Kogi state November 11 governorship election draws closer, Hajia Habibat Mohammed Deen, the running mate , to PDP standard bearer, has declared that she was optimistic of her party winning with wide margin across the state.
This is just as Lokoja,Ā kogi stateĀ capital stood still for her, when women leaders across the stateĀ paid courtesy call on Thursday to draw the support ofĀ women across the 21 local Government Areas to her aspiration.
The visitĀ which was described as a welcome development to the state to have a woman running mate in the forthi kogi State Governorship election , assured of mobilising female voters to cast their votes for the PDP.

Hon.Habiba Mohammed DeenĀ was accompanied by partyĀ stalwarts , PDP woman Leaders from the three senatorial district of the state.
Ā Speaking, the Deputy Governorship candidate, said her nomination as running mate was aĀ call for service to women and youth emancipation.
Ā Hon. Habiba Mohammed Deen said if given the opportunity, she will be committed to the welfare of women and youthĀ in the state.
Ā She called on the people of the state especially the women to support her and the PDPĀ come November 11 election in the state.
The woman politician, who was a former member of Kogi state House of Assembly pledged toĀ collaborate with the standard bearer, Senator Dino Melaye to ensure issues of women and youths are giving needed attention.
Ā Hon. Habibat Mohammed Deen disclosed that if elected, the government will run open door administration and will prioritize the uplifting of the living standards of the citizenry.
She explained that her love for women was the reason she accepted the offer to run , stressing that if given the chance she will introduce programmes that would enhance the development and progress of women and Youths in the state.
Ā According to her, the government would look into the local Government workers on the percentage payment by the present administration, assuring that the ugly narrative will be a thing of the past.
Ā Hon. Habibat Mohammed Deen expressed appreciation to the women in the state for their support so far and assured of her loyalty, dedication and commitment to the party and women in the state and called on the electorateĀ to support the PDP come November 11, 2023 election.
Ā Also speaking, the state secretary of the party Hon. FarukĀ Muhammed who represented the state chairman of the party Engineer. Samuel Ohotu called on the women and the people of the state to give their maximum supportsĀ and to work for the success ofĀ party .
Ā In Her remark, the state woman Leader of the party Hon. Margret OrebiyiĀ said coming of Hon. Habibat Mohammed Deen as Deputy Governorship candidate of the party was a welcome development, saying , sheĀ will be in the center of government if given the mandate.
Ā Also speaking, the former commissioner for works in the state Hon. Timothy Omora said PDP as a party remains the party that has sympathy for the less privileged and women even as he canvass for theĀ support of the people of the state.
Ā Highlights of the event was the distribution of clothing materials and cash for the PDP women Leaders both at the state, Local Government Areas and Wards across Kogi state.
