* Extends IGP ‘s Sympathy.

The Commissioner of Police, Kogi State Police Command, CP Bethrand C. Onuoha, psc (+) visited the scene of the Boat Mishap at Danbo Village on the spot assessment, and equally delivered the heartfelt condolences of Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, PhD, NPM, to His Royal Highness, The Mayaki of Kupa Kingdom, Alh. Dauda Kabir, the people of KUPA Community particularly the families affected by the ill-fated Boat accident.
The high power delegation was led by the Speaker, Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Aliyu Umar Yusuf, who represented His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, the Governor of Kogi State.
The CP further stated that the IGP and the entire Police Community shares in their challenging moment and assures that the Force Marine Officer has been tasked to conduct a comprehensive investigation and to unravel the cause of the accident with the view to providing measures to prevent future occurrences.
The CP, however used the medium to create awareness to the KUPA Community on the need to observes safety measures before embarking on a journey through water. He further advised the community on the use of life jacket as safety mechanism and discourages night journey to avoid future occurrences.
