Kogi police Command first female PPRO assumes Duty .

The Nigeria Police Force, Kogi State Police Command has appointed ASP Saliu Oyiza Afusat as the new public Relations Officer.

The new image maker, takes over from the erstwhile PPRO CSP William Aya who have been redeployed for another assignment

The Commissioner of Police, CP Naziru Bello Kankarofi, psc, mni, welcomes ASP Afusat to her new role and expresses confidence in her abilities to effectively communicate the Command’s activities and initiatives.

This was contained in a press release signed by the outgoing PRO Csp William Aya and made available to Treasuretimes on Monday in Lokoja.

According to the statement,ASP Saliu Oyiza Afusat, an indigene of Okene Local Government Area of Kogi State, was commissioned into the Nigeria Police Force as an Assistant Superintendent of Police on 7th September, 2024, after completing a five-year training programme at the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, Kano State, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry.

He said the new PRO has undergone relevant professional and leadership training, including a Virtual Assistant Certification Programme, Police Mobile Training at the Police Mobile Force Training College, Ende Hills, Nasarawa State, and Leadership and Citizenship Training at Shere Hills, Jos.

“Prior to her appointment, ASP Afusat served as Officer-in-Charge of the Gender Desk, B Division, Felele, and was previously deployed as the Deputy Police Public Relations Officer, Kogi State Police Command.

The Command looks forward to ASP Afusat’s contributions in enhancing public engagement and promoting the image of the Nigeria Police Force in Kogi State.
