Maigari of Lokoja leads Monarchs, politicians to  Dr. Nda Diche’s Wedding Fatiha in Lokoja ‎

‎LOKOJA – The Maigari of Lokoja, His Royal Highness Alhaji Ibrahim Gambo Kabir, Markarfi IV, on Saturday led a delegation of traditional rulers and government representatives to the Wedding Fatiha of APC senatorial aspirant, Dr. Tim Nda Diche, Ph.D., and his bride, Zainab Lilichi Abu.

‎The Islamic Nikah ceremony, held at No. 738 Adankolo New Layout, brought together political appointees, party leaders, businessmen and women, youths, and well-wishers from across Kogi State and beyond in a display of unity and celebration.

‎The Chief Imam of Lokoja Central Mosque, Alhaji Aminu Shaban, officiated the Nikah in the presence of other Islamic scholars. He prayed for the couple’s marital bliss, wisdom, and long life, while urging them to build their union on patience, understanding, and faith.

‎In his royal remarks, the Maigari of Lokoja blessed the marriage and commended both families for upholding tradition and culture. He described marriage as the foundation of society and prayed for the couple to become a source of joy and pride to their families and community.

‎Dr. Nda Diche, who emerged second runner-up in the recently concluded APC senatorial primary election for Kogi Central, was joined by Zainab in colourful traditional rites before the Islamic rites. The ceremony blended Kogi culture with Islamic tradition as the Bassan’ge cultural troupe entertained guests with energetic dance performances in full traditional regalia.

‎The atmosphere was filled with excitement as family members, friends, and supporters gathered to witness the union. Guests described the event as one of the most colourful ceremonies in Lokoja this year, praising the families for organizing a celebration that honoured both heritage and faith.

‎A wedding reception is scheduled for later today at Idrinana Hotel, Lokoja, where more dignitaries, including federal lawmakers and political leaders from within and outside the state, are expected to grace the occasion.
