Hon. Shehu Tijjani Ebaiya, member representing Lokoja I State Constituency in the Kogi State House of Assembly and the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate seeking re-election, has felicitated with the Muslim Ummah on the occasion of Maulud Nabiyyi.
Ebaiya, in a goodwill message to mark the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), urged Muslims to use the occasion to reflect on the Prophet’s exemplary life, teachings and virtues.
He called on the faithful to promote peace, tolerance, compassion, honesty and unity, noting that these values remain essential to the development and stability of society.
The lawmaker said the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) provided enduring lessons on peaceful coexistence, justice, kindness and respect for humanity, urging Muslims to demonstrate these virtues in their daily lives.
Ebaiya also appealed to Muslim faithful in Lokoja I Constituency, Kogi State and beyond to continue praying for peace, progress and prosperity in Lokoja, Kogi State and Nigeria in general.
He stressed the importance of unity and peaceful coexistence among citizens, irrespective of religious, ethnic or political differences, particularly at a time when the country is confronted with various socio-economic challenges.
According to him, Maulud should not only be a period of celebration but also an opportunity for Muslims to renew their faith, strengthen their relationship with Allah and recommit themselves to the ideals exemplified by the Holy Prophet.
He further encouraged the faithful to extend love and assistance to the less privileged, saying that caring for the vulnerable was among the virtues demonstrated by Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
The APC candidate expressed optimism that the celebration would bring renewed hope, divine guidance and greater unity among the people.
He wished the Muslim Ummah a peaceful and spiritually rewarding Maulud Nabiyyi celebration, praying for Allah’s continued protection and blessings upon the people of Lokoja I Constituency, Kogi State and Nigeria.
