The Kogi State chapter of African Democratic Congress has described the passing of the former governor of the state Alhaji Ibrahim Idris as a monumental loss to the people of the state
The statement by the state chairman of the party,Hon Tom Zakari said Alhaji Ibrahim Idris was a towering statesman, successful businessman, bridge-builder and father to many saying as a governor he contributed immensely to the political and socio-economic development of Kogi State and left an enduring legacy of inclusive governance.
He noted that his death is a monumental loss not only to his family but to Igala land, Kogi State and Nigeria at large.
The ADC Chairman also stated that the deceased was a man of wisdom, generosity and peace who touched many lives through business and public service.
Hon Tom Zakari who prayed Allah to forgive his sins, accept his good deeds and grant him Aljannatul equally prayed God to give his family the strength to bear the irreparable loss
