The Member Representing Omala State Constituency in the Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon. Umar Yahaya (Connect), has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of former Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris, describing his death as a shocking and monumental loss to the people of Omala Local Government and Kogi State at large.
Hon. Umar described the late former Governor as a distinguished leader whose life was defined by service, sacrifice, and meaningful contributions to humanity. He noted that Alhaji Ibrahim Idris would be remembered for the impact he made during his years of public service and for the legacy he left behind, particularly in Kogi State and Omala Local Government.
According to Hon. Umar, the late former Governor was a leader whose contributions transcended political boundaries, adding that his passing has created a significant vacuum that will be deeply felt by the people he served.
“The death of Alhaji Ibrahim Idris is a monumental loss to our people, particularly the people of Omala and Kogi State. He lived a life of service and made remarkable contributions to the development of our state. His sacrifices and legacy will continue to be remembered by generations to come.”
Hon. Umar Yahaya further extended his heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased, his associates, friends, and the entire people of Kogi State, praying that Almighty God grants the family the strength and fortitude to bear this immense loss.
He also prayed for the peaceful repose of the soul of the late former Governor and urged all those who mourn him to find comfort in the legacy of service and humanity he left behind.
