Kogi Government Pushes Networking, Mentorship awareness with CEOs Portal for  business  growth ,sustainability in Kogi.

Kogi state government has begun collaboration with the CEOs Portal on how to maximize  networking and mentoring for  sustainability of businesses  beyond the demise of the founders .
This was disclosed by the commissioner for Information and communication, Kinsley Fanwo at a programme organised by the CEOs Portal with the theme: Transgene rational Connections, building alliance and leverage for a sustainable business future, held Today at Saatof Hotel  Lokoja,  state capital
The commissioner noted that the event  is in congruence with the policy of Governor Ododo ‘s administration targeting the promotion of conducive environment for Small and medium enterprises SMEs  to blossom in the state .
He said, the government is committed to assist the company in their quest to  leverage on business owners to use  networking  and connectivity  to have handshakes across business borders.
Fanwo who disclosed that the 32 year master plan of the state has envisioned and religiously inclined to sustainability and growth of businesses to move the state from the appellation of a civil service status.
” Our Administration is supporting this program which objective is how business owners could network and connect their businesses across borders. We cannot develop alone. We are inviting private organisations to come and invest in our state. We want an economy that is private sector driven. We don’t want to be seen as a civil service state any longer. Programme like this helps to improve quality of business and business men and women is all our Administration stand for.” He said.
Fanwo while reiterating the administration’s  commitment to investing heavily to create right environment, security, tax  and land administrations, stressing that these were the key indicators that have made the state investors destination.
He added that the state has put in place a security architecture that is bottom to top approach, hinting that the five mini track for gas to have  been established in the state is an indication that investors are having confidence in the state.
 Speaking on the essence of the program, the founder of CEOs Portal, Barrister Patience Oluwatoyin Oluseyi, said it was a privilege to come back home to impact on the society that has given her so much.
She explained that the CEOs Portal is a global hub for Chief Executive Officers of businesses who will network and connect across borders to create wealth that can be transferred trans generationally.
She said , gone were the years where business owners struggle to start up their business and just for the business to die after the demise of the founders.
Olusuyi added that the CEOs Portal is targeting founders and owners of businesses to collaborate to build empires that can function without them and outlive them, saying there is no point building and nurturing a  business and  for it to go under when one is no more.
She disclosed  that the CEOs Portal is set to holding the biggest event of CEOs on the 3rd of May , 2025, at Abuja , tagged a convergence of business owners and founders drawing participants from  ten states of the federation, and  has to first kickstart  the programme in her home kogi state
The CEO noted that she was excited by the massive support from the Government of kogi state, Koccima, corporate organisations, individuals, who are partnering with her to build alliances and leveraging on people to build businesses that grows and survive beyond the founders.
According to her ” we selected 3F- Food, Fashion , Fitness.  At the convergence Africa , we will be teaching CEOs and founders on these three themes. We will be teaching them , how to dominate in their respective industry, to leverage on building businesses across sectors. How can food collaborate with fitness and fitness with fashion.
” Gone are the days you go all jacketed business lines. There is powers in collaboration. It is going to be a place where business owners learn how to contribute and to have a platform to support government in their own way and when we put this in place that we will have certified efforts”
She urge Governments, individuals and corporate organisations to support the programme which is aimed at creating trans generational connectivity to create alliance and leverage on people that will build businesses that outlive them.
Those in attendance include, SGS , Dr. Folashade Ayoade Arike, commissioner for Education Wemi Jones, Koccima, NGOS , School owners and host of others.
